Zu Laut! Special Edition (Lord Reith): the complete 1962 Star-Club tapes in the best quality One user or another over there will have all these in their collection, and somebody will usually share if you ask nicely: Or, if you can't find them, post over at the Bootlegzone website and request the ones you are looking for. You should be able to find them if you google hard enough. They're all fan-made and are meant to be given away for free. In (parentheses) is the name of the "record label" that they are on, to help with googling. Here's a list of what's floating around the internet these days, and what are mostly considered the latest best sources, or "core" in Beatle collecting parlance. A/B Road is a one stop solution to avoiding all previous problems with collecting and listening to those sessions. And even in good quality, they can be very hard to listen to. Before that, Get Back bootlegs were sourced from bad tape dubs that can be very hard to listen to.

It wasn't until a series called Day By Day followed by the Get Back Camera B-Rolls series that all the "Nagra reels" for those sessions leaked.

The difference can often be night and day, and this is particularly true of Get Back bootlegs that were originally released before the year 2000. However, all the bootlegs you mentioned are pretty outdated at this point, and the recordings have since surfaced in upgraded quality, quite often from much better sources. That's really great of your co-worker to give you all those bootlegs. Might as well just find that one instead of going through your own headache of repeating something that's already been done before. It's around 80 discs if you were to actually burn it to CD, and all the tracks have already been split up by the song they are playing, even if they only play a few notes before moving on to something else.

It's probably a much quicker use of your time to just find it and download it.

That's a noble project, but it's already been done before, on the bootleg A/B Road on the Purple Chick label, which you can find on the internet if you look around. I'm thinking of writing down everything on a google spreadsheet so it's easy to keep everything in one place Would anyone be interested in helping me go through everything and writing down song names and times? Once everything is done I can also upload them to a public website that's streamable (so you don't have to download them) so we all can share the love of what seems like a Beatles goldmine.Įdit: If you are interested, please have discord so that way it's easy to communicate with eachother. This way, I can split the mega audio file into one song one file for everything (like a traditional album).

Like the Get Back Sessions are hours long, and I want to start a group that listens to them and writes down what songs they play (or think they're playing) and also the time stamp of the song. The thing is: All of the audio files for each album/folder are just one big mega audio file. "White Album Unplugged", "Acoustic Submarine") and more stuff like that. One of my co workers gave me his Beatles collection as a gift before he moved away and he gave me a USB with a lot of rare(?) or lesser known Beatles material (some of them are named like "Get Back Sessions", "Kinfanuns Demos", "The Black Album".
